How do I enable 2-Factor Authentication for my Nest Home account?

2-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a simple way to increase the security of your Nest Home account, by sending you an SMS/text message containing an automatically-generated 6-digit passcode each time you log into your account - and as of version 3.3, Skylark now supports it!

Here's how to enable 2FA on your Nest Home account. Once you've set it up, here's how to use 2FA to sign into Skylark

Open Skylark, and enter your Nest Home account credentials as usual.

You'll be taken to a screen that prompts you for a 6-digit passcode, which will be sent via SMS/text message to the phone number registered with your Nest Home account. Enter the code, and press "Submit". The passcode will be verified, and you'll be logged into Skylark.

IMPORTANT NOTE If you have multiple devices running Skylark in your household, remember that the 2FA passcode will only be sent to the phone number associated with your Nest Home account.
